Australian Alex de Minaur’s semifinal against Gilles Simon at the Sydney International has been postponed until Saturday morning due to rain.
De Minaur was due to take on Simon in the semifinal on Friday night, but persistent rain meant only the women’s semifinal between Petra Kvitova and Aliaksandra Sasnovich was completed.
Kvitova dropped just three games to set up a final against Ash Barty.
The men’s final will still go ahead as planned on Saturday night, meaning either Simon or De Minaur will have to play two matches in one day when the winner meets Andreas Seppi in the decider.
Seppi on Friday afternoon saw off third seed Diego Schwartzman in straight sets.
If you wish to exchange your ticket, please head to our ticket box office at the entry gate on Shirley Strickland Avenue.#SydneyTennis
